Leena Tarin

Leena is fluent in English and Farsi and is dedicated to creating a welcoming environment where patients feel heard, respected, and involved in their healthcare decisions.
Leena Tarin is a Nurse Practitioner with extensive experience providing compassionate, evidence-based care to individuals with a wide range of medical and behavioral health needs. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner in 2018 and later completed a Post-Master’s Certificate in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing in 2024.
Since 2018, Leena has worked as a Nurse Practitioner in both wound care and behavioral health. At WoundTech, she provided evaluation and management of patients requiring specialized wound care. Since 2019, she has served as a Nurse Practitioner with Community Medical Services, where she has developed particular expertise in addiction medicine and the treatment of substance use disorders. Her experience includes caring for individuals with opioid, alcohol, stimulant, and benzodiazepine use disorders, as well as providing Medication-Assisted Treatment with medications such as buprenorphine, naltrexone, and methadone.
Leena takes a compassionate, nonjudgmental, and patient-centered approach to care. She is experienced in working with patients managing both mental health and substance use concerns, including depression and other co-occurring conditions. She believes in meeting patients where they are, providing education and support, and working collaboratively with each individual to develop a treatment plan that fits their goals and needs.
Her clinical experience also includes managing chronic medical conditions, providing preventive and primary care, and caring for underserved and high-risk populations. She is committed to culturally sensitive, trauma-informed care and uses a combination of clinical expertise, patient education, and open communication to help patients feel comfortable and supported throughout their care.
